The Alameda County CMA and ACTIA initiated the Climate Action Transportation Working Group of local and county agencies in January 2009 to collaborate and coordinate on addressing climate change by focusing on transportation strategies. At its December 2008 Board retreat, the Alameda County CMA Board also expressed qualified support for pursuit of CMA climate action-related transportation projects and programs, and a desire to consider land use as it relates to supporting transit service. In May 2009, the CMA Board adopted the below countywide Climate Action Priorities (Table 1), which are being included in the 2009 Congestion Management Program.
